This is the worst temporary service that I have been to in 18 1/2 years of living in the Portland Oregon area. The Real Unemployment rate here in Oregon is between 45-50% especially in the call center and construction industry. I went there last week and have worked for several call centers that have left Portland and gone out of business through no falt of my own and I was told that I had NO WORK HISTORY. I went down to SS and got a printout and of course these three call centers were on there and the wages that they listed. These people have found a way to discriminate against people because there are no jobs at all here and to eliminate applicants and blame them for things that they do not do at all and that is what they did to me. I use a walker through two terrible accidents I was in and cannot get disability and have been fighting it since 1998. Never ever ever ever never go to Opti Staffing in Lake Oswego Oregon because they will do this to you and say you have no work history.
I was out of work after losing a good Outside Sales position. I went to Opti to find some temporary manual work to get me by until I landed something good. These guys sold me a bill of goods and hired me to work internally for them. This place is a total joke. Their slogans are purely rhetoric. They charge companies almost twice as much in fees, to provide the same exact candidates as other staffing services. I think I was there two weeks before someone was fired. Then our Branch Manager was fired. After two weeks without a Manager and no explanation of why nobody was running the office, some derelict was brought over from another branch to replace her. He went on to fire someone almost every week. The crazy thing was, they had nobody to replace the people they fired, so they would scramble to hire any semi-literate warm body. This place claims to be your Human Resource specialist, but they can't manage a staff. In 8 months I saw the entire office turn over 1 1/2 times.
