This was the first time we boarded our dog. We were a long way from home, so we had to pick a place without seeing it. Dixie Kennels is clean and odor free. We were delighted to find him healthy and in good spirits when we picked him up. We had to board him again a week later. When we came in, the owner did not recognize us, but she knew Buddy on sight. That told me where her priorities lie. Next time we are in Lakeland, that is where he will go.

I take my dogs to Dixie Kennels for boarding and grooming, and they absolutely love it! One of my dogs always wiggles when it's time to get a haircut. I've taken her to other places and when she came home, she'd walk around funny like they cut her too close (once they did end up cutting her). She's never had a problem at Dixie Kennels because of their patience with her. My other dog is shy and afraid of everything. He gets really excited when he realizes we're at Dixie Kennels and even runs into the kennel with no problems. I would recommend Dixie Kennels!!!

LOVE THE PLACE PEOPLE ARE NICE AND MY LIL DOGGIE WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF
I never used a kennel before and I was worried because my boxer is very spoiled she thinks she is human. All of my fears vanished right away. I could tell that the owner Carolyn Spradlen is a pet lover and she and her staff would treat the animals as if they were there own. I liked that they offered indoor space with ac and it was very affordable. We will use Dixie Kennels everytime we go out of town from now on.
