We get great, friendly, on-time, 'informative' service at a very reasonable cost every time. As long as Plaza Electronics is in business, we'll never go anywhere else for any of our electronics.

I waited over 2 weeks to hear ...

I waited over 2 weeks to hear wether or not this place could repair a car sterio. It's apparently the ONLY place in the Tampa Bay Area authorized to fix JVC equipment.

After 2 weeks of wondering what was taking place, I had to call them only to learn that a technician was assigned to work on the radio and there was no information as to how long it would take to just get an estimate.

After seeing a few of the older posts regarding the amount of time people had to wait, I'd find another company to do the repair at all costs.

Top notch Repair!!! The Owner ...

Top notch Repair!!! The Owner "Bob" was a little hyper today about customers being friendly with the techs. I have a cute dog that they all love. I stopped in after buying a computer for an upgrade, but Bob thought my little 5 minute visit with my cute dog was interupting the flow and very survival of his business. lol ;)



Bottom Line: Excellent service and reasonably priced!

HORRIBLE



I Called them with a simple issue.



I have a 1950 antique radio which I cannot tune because the knob doesn't turn.



I asked them if they could fix this.



I was told that they "were not sure".



I said, wait, you are a radio repair shop right?



They said they were, but that they are not sure if they could fix the knob on the tuner.



WHAT? HELLO! THAT IS YOUR BUSINESS!



Forget this place, they cannot even answer a question as simple as this.

This type of unit is considered a vintage unit and we do not normally work on these units. Parts availability on a 61 year old unit is doubtful at best. We said we would see what we could do to try to help the customer rather than giving a flat out no. We do not charge if we don't fix it, so the customer was never at risk of paying for anything unless we were able to resolve his issue.

Plaza Electronics is GREAT. I needed a lamp for my DLP and Elizabeth saved me the service call fee by explaining how to remove the lamp myself. The other repair shops I phoned merely explained the service fee plus the cost of the lamp. This is an honest, hard working repair shop.

Wonderful Service and communication

I shipped them my Onkyo receiver for HDMI issues/warranty work. Their communication with me was terrific (emails answered same day if not w/in the hour) and they repaired and tested the unit and had it back to me in just about a week. THANK YOU!

I shipped Plaza my "newish" Onkyo receiver which was suffering from a known HDMI issue. They answered all of my emails the same day if not almost immediately, and provided all the information I requested. They repaired my receiver under warranty, and shipped the perfectly-functioning unit back to me in just over 1 week. AWESOME!

I am very happy with the TV repair by Plaza Electronics. Their rates for labor are posted on their web site and that is what they charged. They gave me a reasonable "not to exceed" cost for parts and honored that. It was a carry-in, so the estimate was free and it was ready when they said it would be.ready. It is now working fine. What's not to like!?

Very knowledgeable staff. Literally diagnosed my LCD TV problem before it was inside the building! Worked with warranty company and completed repair quickly. Would use them again!

My advise?? LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.( HAD TO BRING IT ALL THE WAY BACK a second time the next day.) Hauled in my 5 year old heavy, 36" regular Sanyo TV that I love, took them 6 days including the weekend to fix it, THEN, hauled it home plugged it in and it worked, so I left to go about my daily business. Wife called me 3 minutes after I left the house and I thought she was kidding me when she said that it QUIT WORKING, She wasn't, I went back home and sure enough !! It was so heavy that I called them back and said I will have to bring it back tomorrow, no offer for a guy to stop by, Discount, Nothing!!! I called and the desk lady at Plaza said "Oh, sorry, no problem, you can just bring it back in and we'll fix it again". WHAT?! Brought it back, I figured I would tell them to "Let it run a little longer before you call me this time." Hauled it back, waited a few more days, brought it back home again, Whatever... A $1 part and they still charged me $125.00 "Their flat fee", OUTRAGEOUS ....
