Provided by YP.comMy wife and I have eaten at Sen probably thirty or forty times. We don't keep going back because it isn't good. No, it is not cheap, but you can't get exotic fish flown in from Tokyo for "all you can eat" prices.
Chef Hiro Nakano is amazing. Yes, he was the Head Chef at Nobu. Nobu is great, but I would take Sen any time over Nobu. His black Cod is to die for.
Then there is the head sushi chef. Amazing.
I have eaten Sushi and Sashimi in Tokyo and San Fran, so I have more than Vegas to compare the quality.
The fun thing is I am a traditionalist. I like the best sashimi and I want to try every good fish on the planet. Sen's variety of fresh fish is unmatched in Vegas. I order my sashimi Omakasie.
My wife likes the fusion sashimi. So ever other time we go we tell the sushi chef who is the boss that night and they make us either traditional or fusion depending on which one of is the boss. Booblehead2 must work for the competition.

Provided by YP.comWow, the last person who gave one star is so far off on this I had to write a review. Little does he know that the head chef and owner of Sen of Japan trained under Nobu and was his number 1 guy for over a decade. The food is unbelievable. The prices are high if you are looking for a discount neighborhood place. However, when you compare to Nobu prices and quality it is a bargain. Locals that know their stuff go here again and again. As a Asian myself, I have to say the sushi and sashimi quality is excellent. One of the best Asian restaurant around.....period.
If you want Japanese food and sushi, Sen of Japan is the place to go. This is the best Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas, in my opinion. My family loves it, and that includes our 7-year-old twins. We have frequented Sen of Japan since shortly after it was opened by chef/owner Hiro, whom we always see at the restaurant (formerly the chef of Nobu at Hard Rock). I love the spring roll appetizer (a bargain at $5!) as well as the special large sushi rolls. The food is superb. Tempura is excellent. Chocolate souffle and green tea ice cream dessert is lovely.

Provided by YP.comWhat a rip off!!! they wanna be just like NOBU! THEY ARE NOT! very far from it!! if you want to eat nobu dishes, GO TO NOBU! all their dishes are way over price and the taste, it`s bland, very simple and tasteless. plus the guy, the cook, i wouldn`t call him chef, the one that looks like a japanese version of moe of the three stoogies, SUCKS!! big time!! he was very rude!! i would never let anybody go and try this place, it just BAD around. DO NOT GO THERE!! they`ll rip you off!!!
