The lady that manages all of these locations only cares about your money and fakes being nice and caring about your tan because your spending money. I was a customer of the Richmond rd southern rays for years until I moved to apt that had a tanning bed. I was waiting on them to replace bulbs here at my apt complex tanning bed that's free for the renters here and thought I would go back to this salon until my apartments tanning bed got new bulbs. I bought a 10.00 - 7 days package in which I asked her if 1 sunless session was included and she said yes or I would have taken the 10.00 first visit sunless tanning session that she offered not the 7 days. She knew I was waiting on the bulbs to be replaced in my apt complex and just needed to get dark for a wedding that weekend. I had even been in there last week asking about the sunless sessions and told her I would be back when I got paid and came back. I was only interested in the 10.00 sunless first visit but it was her that talked me into the 10.00 7 day sampling each bed each different day, I asked her if sunless session was allowed one time and she said yes before she handed me my change back after I paid. She checked me out then handed me my change and said you can tan in these beds and showed me and when you want to get a spray tan Friday like you said in the sunless session in 7 days you have to pay 10.00 more. Why didn't she tell me that before I already paid the 10.00 for 7 days, she just said yes to my question can I use 1 sunless tan in the 7 days. After I confronted her she punched her fists in each hand and said I been in this to long. What a way for a boss of a salon to act to a long time customer. This lady doesn't care about you or your tan just the money you spend. That showed after all the money I spent when I lived at raintree and patchens and came there to tan for the past years until I moved to this complex with a public tanning bed. Totally unprofessional, she can keep my 10.00 since she apparently needs its so bad to lie to me and make me think I misunderstood her when I didn't. I askd her where there was another location to tan at and she says she sorry it just makes her mad that apts and gyms have stolen her customers and she has to pay taxes on tanning beds but apts and gyms don't..... so to me by her actions and saying that proves what type of a person she is. My years of tanning there meant nothing when I now come in as a every now and then customer and it showed.

I haven't been to this location but the lady who owns this only cares about the money you spend there not the tan your getting. Make sure to go this location and not Richmond rd location. Don't let the manager there know that you live where free tanning is at you apt or gym. You will get treated differently. Before moving to my apartment complex now I tanned off and on there for years. I went today after not tanning there since my move and asked about sunless tanning session and told her I was waiting on them to replace the bulbs in the tanning bed at my complex. I asked her about then sunless tanning spray visit, she told me it was 9.99 for visit for the first time or I could get the 10.00 deal they were running at the time for 7 days trial on each bed. I asked if that included 1 of the spray tans she said yes before I paid but she didn't tell me until I had paid if I wanted to do that to it was extra 9.99 on top of what I already paid. There was a line so I went to tan and told her after wards because im polite and don't like to hold people up. She told me she didn't say it and pounded her fist together saying I been in this business so long. I asked where were more southern rays I could go to so she wouldn't act that to me again. Then she told me she was sorry it made her mad she had to pay for taxes for her tanning beds and the apt and gyms that had free access for people didn't and it took her business. Even if I did misunderstand her in which I said I was sorry if I did, no one in a business is suppose to act like that. She had knew my apt had a tanning bed and I asked about sunless visit if I didn't misunderstand why would I have gotten the 10.00 package deal for 7 days if I didn't think the sunless was included before that she knew I was just waiting on them to replace to apts tanning beds bulbs. I told my husband about it and he told me not to go back that regardless of the disagreement a manager shouldn't treat a paying customer that way. Very unprofessional.... and if it wasn't the lady wouldn't blamed her bad mood on how it makes her mad that apartments and gyms are stealing her business and how they don't have to pay for taxes on tanning beds but she does. So she took her anger out on me. Im a nice person and up to this point she has always been to but I have been a customer from there since on and off years ago until my move to apt with a tanning bed. Now I decided to go back until they get the bulbs replaced here and the lady treats a paying customers for years like that. I know it was suppose I hadn't been there in a while. I think she is nice because every one is paying but the second you take a break from there and she knows you tan for free at your apt or gym you will be treated as I was. if that wasn't the case she wouldn't have said sorry it just makes me mad I have to pay taxes and apt and gyms don't on their tanning beds. That had nothing to do with me. I forgive her but after talking to my husband I wont be back. That will be the last 10.00 she will ever get from me. I cant believe I was treated that way after telling people to go there instead of more expensive salons. Atleast at Suntan City if you confront them about something they don't beat their fists and say I been doing this to long and say sorry and give a lame excuse that they were just mad that apt and gyms didn't pay tax on beds and complain about them having to. I never heard that at Sun Tan City or Perfect Tan. I called the other Southern Rays and heard this lady runs them all. So she can just keep my money I want no part of her or and other salon she runs after the way I was treated. I'm so nice I was going to go back until I explained the full episode to my husband face to face and not over the phone. He doesn't think she deserves any more of my business either.
