April 17, 2009: First experience for "MB54": Mortgage got sold to them. Called to verify coupon book was coming because first payment is due in 14 days. Average waiting time experiences on phone but they had both work and home phone numbers wrong on my account. Said coupon book was mailed on April 13, 2009. Book was in my mailbox today. Stay tuned. MB54 will keep updates on experiences with them on Switchboard.

I have to agree that this company is awful! Our mortgage got sold to them as well and has been problematic ever since. Including the fedex envelope with our payment check that was thrown away. Thank goodness that is the way we sent payment since they were trying to charge late payments and such. We could trace the signature when it was received. The person receiving it stated "we get over 30 pieces a mail a day and you can only expect some things to get lost or thrown away!" As we were selling this home last week, the new buyers title company was trying to get the payoff. Central told them it would take 3-7 days to get back to them on that until we threatened them! What a sorry excuse of a mortgage company - thank goodness we are out from under them and new buyers were assured their new loan would NOT be sold to Central!! Let's only hope!!!

Horrible experience...Central bought my mortgage & has screwed up the servicing since day 1!!!

Had electronic payment and had to mail in new request to Central when they bought the loan. Mailed it 2 separate times, only to have them lose the application & cancelled check 2 times! But wait, it gets worse...they have managed to report the account delinquent 2 times and threatened to turn it over to Collection if the Sep payment was not made by October 1, 2006. No website.....no technology...and to top it off, the customer service guys I last spoke to were incredibly rude and didn't care whether my problem got resolved or not...when the "Supervisor" I last spoke to put me on hold....Guess what? I mysteriously got disconnected.....And no call back either.....RUN from any dealings with this company!!!!

Notably good service experience

I could not disagree more with the other negative reviews. I called in with a question and granted the hold time was not a record low but it was satisfactory. I had a shortage in my escrow account. The escrow statement was self explanatory once I took the time to read it. I just called customer service to determine the best way to pay my shortage in full. The people I spoke with were very accessible and friendly.From what I understand, this company is growing by leaps and bounds. Yes, they were a little late with the web site but they have one now. The quality of customer care I have received has more than offset the fact that they did not have a web site. The term "southern hospitality" definitely applies with this company.

Escrow Analysis very poor and poor customer service

My mortgage was sold to this company; I have not received my statement and I have received 2-escrow analysis in the past 2 months. The layout is very confusing and there is no way to really see what is going on in my escrow account because I can't access account info online. They failed to credit one of my escrow payments (Feb '06) and this resulted in an erroneous escrow calculation. And still having problem

Poor "customer service"...if you can call it that

My mortgage got sold to these guys, and I have not received one statement (after 4 months of payments). There IS no website, which is ridiculous! It sure would be nice to see what my current balance is, and at least get a confirmation they're receiving my payments...but I won't hold my breath!

Technologically inept

Web site inop, no 800 number or any number on coupon book. Does not send payment books without prodding.

Friendly customer service

The customer service has always been very friendly but the down side is the phone number is not on the coupons and I don't get a monthly statement with balance, interest rate etc.,

Poor serviceability of loans

Have not kept up with technology...do not have web access for lending products. You have to call and speak with someone to get loan balances.
