I did not have great luck at this shop. The muffler on my truck was still usable, just needed the pipes fixed. I was under the truck with them when they examined it, and the guy hardly even looked at it and said you need a whole new exhaust system muffler included and it will cost you $600. I am a college student so I thought oh crap. I knew the muffler was okay saving me about $300, but they refused to reuse it with new pipes. I dug deeper, trying to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. I found that my muffler was a Magnaflow and under warranty. I came back, and had them look into the warranty, knowing that where it was a Magnaflow the warranty should be valid without the need of receipts. They wanted me to find my receipts on my muffler from 15 years ago (cause yeah who has that). I voiced my concerns, and they got huffy and hung up on me. I took my truck to a different dealer, who said that he could reuse the old muffler AS IT WAS JUST FINE (which I already knew), and that even if he would have had to order a new one, the muffler is under warranty, and all he had to do as the dealer was send it in to Magnaflow and get reimbursed as a dealer. My truck is now fixed and I saved my $300 which I knew I should have been able to do in the first place. After this dealer realized they missed out, they gave me a call back, offering on the third try to do WHAT I WANTED THEM TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE!! They were just trying to squeeze as much money out of me as they could, and then make the extra reimbursement money off of the muffler to boot. I may be young, but I am not stupid. I felt pressured, and knew I was getting the runaround. Save your time and your money and avoid this shop.

I would advise that you avoid this shop for your safety inspections. I had my window tint done professionally and insisted they make sure it was legal in Utah. I got my car inspected this year (2015) at Alta Muffler & Brakes and they failed my front windows for being too dark. I didn't argue with it it because they use a VLT meter to check them. Well, after I removed the tint in the parking lot to pass the inspection, I had them check the stock OEM un-tinted front window afterwords and the reading came back as 47%. I checked with the dealer and another certified safety inspector and the windows came back as 77% & 75% respectively. I approached them about their tint meter's error (I didn't even ask for them to replace the $80 of tint that I pulled off to pass the inspection) and just asked them to check the meter so other people wouldn't go through the time and expense of replacing the tint like I will have to. The response from the guy working there was "What do you want me to do about it? I'm not going to argue with you ... have a nice day".



My only point is that there are MANY cars with 100% LEGAL tint like mine was and due to the amount that Alta's VLT meter is off (about 25-30%) they would ALL fail and that's nearly a $100 PER CAR worth of tint (I am paying $70 to get mine re-tinted, plus the time to get the old glue off and the time to drop it off and pick it up from the tinting shop). If they had at least shown some effort to check their equipment I wouldn't have written this but it was clear they couldn't care less. Again, I would avoid this shop, there are many other places to get your car inspected.

I had them put an exhaust on my jeep, and they were great to work with, fast, and fairly priced. Highly recommend

This is the place in Logan to go for brakes. They were the lowest quote in town and ended up doing the job for even less than quoted. Great honest work and very friendly staff. I highly recommend getting your work done here.

I needed a new muffler installed on my truck and i had purchased a Flowmaster muffler specific to my truck. The new tailpipe required needed to be a bit bigger than the stock one. The main guy at Alta Muffler told me that my stock tailpipe was not going to fit - no kidding that's why I needed a muffler shop to hook up a standard size tailpipe to the end of my muffler. Well he told me I was an "idiot" and that "no one else can help idiots like you." I said fine I will take my business else where and tell people how you treat you potential customers. He said fine and to "suck em all off while your at it," along with some other choice cuss words. I was very displeased with how I was treated that they didn't even want to help me. I went to Custom Muffler down the street and had no problem with the installation!
