Just made my first visit to the new Conga Room since they moved from the Mid-Wilshire area, and I must say it made a great first impression.



Went to a concert featuring local Brazilian singer Katia Moraes who opened for Jair Oliviera, and found the acoustics and the overall setting to be quite nice. We arrived early enough to get a table close to the stage, and while close, we were not overwhelmed by sound. In fact, the sound was on point throughout the entire night.



We ordered an appetizer - chips, salsa and guacamole - and the chips were freshly made and the guac was perhaps the most delicious I'd ever tasted. We held on to our menu anticipating that we'd order another appetizer to share at some point, but shortly after bringing our second round of drinks, our waitress brought our bill and said she was being sent home early.



While the service received was pleasant, I was a bit disappointed that we were not given the option to order anything else before she left, and that no other wait staff attended to our table for the rest of the night. Hate to deduct a star for that, but it all seemed a bit off since we were there for nearly another hour after paying.



In spite of that, I will definitely be going back to the Conga Room in the future!
