Sun Ranch Pet Hospital is a full service medical and surgical practice located in Los Lunas, N.M. We offer comprehensive companion animal care for dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, birds, rodents and a number of other small domestic exotics. Our services include, but are not limited to: Dental care including restoration Canine / feline fertility and A.I. At Sun Ranch Pet Hospital our emphasis is on preventive care. We strongly believe it's better to avoid disease than to treat it. We provide the foundations of good preventive care: annual vaccines, heartworm testing, complete physical examination, dental vaccines, dental cleanings and senior care, and blood work. We also have full grooming services available. We are staffed with a full time groomer and we can help with baths, brushing, drying and nail trimming. My beloved beagle went to Dr. Park with swollen glands and a cough. She diagnosed him with skin cancer and allergies. She didn't do a chest X-ray or anything to see if it might be more. She gave him allergy pills and sent him home. Over the next few weeks the glands and cough did not get any better. I called her office several times and each time was told the doctor already diagnosed him with allergies and to give him the pills she prescribed. Her staff treated me rudely and acted as if my questions and concerns had no merit because I was not a vet. I took Sam for a second opinion. Sam does NOT have allergies -- he has cancer. In his lymph nodes -- the very thing he saw Dr. Park for in the first place. He has 8 tumors and now has to se a veterinary oncologist to see if there is anything we can do to prolong his life since we did not catch the cancer in time.
