We were provided with great service on our recent purchase of a gas log set and glass door for our fireplace. I went to the showroom not intending to buy, but with many questions. My wife and I came back several months later and ordered our logs and doors with the help of a very helpful and knowledgeable salesperson. I usually shop intensely for every major purchase, but this time I felt comfortable coming back to order from Hearthside and Home. Our doors were installed by Bruce, who did a fabulous job, and the gas logs and gas line by another installer, who also did a neat, tidy, and very professional job. We'll gladly recommend this company to freinds, family, and even enemies. We are very pleased with our installation and took time out from sitting in front of the fire to write this. - Rob

Hearthside and Home was the most knowledgable of all the stores we visited. They had a great selection , were reasonably priced and did a great job.gb

H&H caused a gas leak while installing a gas fireplace insert at our home. Then they left without detecting it or informing us, and - when we called them - wouldn't come back to fix it that day. They told us we'd have to wait until 9:30 the next morning. We had to break a window to ventilate the basement, and called the gas company (PSE) to address the leak. When PSE arrived, they informed us the work was done without proper permitting, and they shut off our gas. That night and the next day, we were without hot water, heat, a stove, and a dryer. H&H had to uninstall the new gas line the next day so our gas could be turned back on pending permits. One installer from H&H admitted that no one at the company had a license to install gas plumbing - and that they all used the license # of a former employee when necessary to get through permitting! Instead of just a day, the installation wound up taking 2 weeks, and costing me 4 vacation days - but the sales mgr still refused any refund.
