he job was to hang drywall over the ceilings and several walls with tape, mud, sanding and clean up.
First issue was the fact that when the drywall was delivered, no drywall concept team member was around, nor did they inform me of the drop off.
Second, the hanging was ok,there are certain places where the fit could have been tighter, but perhaps I should have told them I was not going with a large crown molding.
Third, the finishing, almost done but failed to provide a cap for a wall, and there were clearly several placed where they did not do a good job.
Forth and perhaps the worst of it all, they failed to clean up properly. While dust is not an issue, the fact that mud was everywhere (over wood works, over the outside of a door, over a tile floor which they failed to protect at all). I asked for some money back for this but I should not have to ask for such things. A job guaranteed should be just that, guaranteed and finished to completion.
They were also drinking on the job (Beers found at my home).....

I contracted Drywall Concepts through Kevin, to drywall, mud, tape, and orange peel texture the lower level of my raised ranch home. Kevin is polite and quick to answer questions, or answer the phone. Therefore, I commend him for his quick response time, and quick turn around of the estimate. It is always nice to receive quick replies.



I am disappointed in the number of contracted crews that were involved though. Each stage of the process is a different contracted crew (e.g. one for hanging, one for mudding, one for texture). This made it difficult to nail down when the next crew would be onsite, and meant constant phone calls with Kevin to determine.



I was out of town and had people house-sitting as the work was done, so the uncertain scheduling wasn't as big of an issue, but for those unable to be home every day, this would be problematic I assume.



Regardless, once onsite, each contracted crew worked hard to complete their portion. Again I commend them for that, however, only after the work was completed, and I returned from my trip, did I find out that two vents (forced air) were covered up, which meant I had to go back after the fact, find them, and cut away drywall. If the people I had house sitting hadn't sent the second half of payment while I was still travelling, I would not have submitted it until the conditions within the estimate were met, and problems addressed.



The estimate indicated "clean up all areas affected by drywall work". This was not met. Large chunks of drywall mud were present on the floor, adjacent doors, stairs, windows, lights etc. We called back, and had the crew come out a second time to continue cleaning, but even after the second trip a copious amount of drywall dust and matter remained on the floor, windows, stairs etc. Meaning I spent hours cleaning up after the "cleaning crew".



Between the vents being covered up during drywall hanging, light switches, lights, outlets and other areas having mud covering them, the lack of appropriate cleaning, and the difficulty in figuring out when multiple crews were going to be onsite, I cannot recommend them unless you have a flexible schedule, and are willing to follow up with them constantly to ensure the estimate conditions are met, and crews show up.



While the finished product is acceptable, and they have quick response time, I would say they get a C for execution and cleanup.
