General Info
Gloria Clifford is currently offering reproductions of her original paintings to help with “Ocean Conservation” efforts. Several of her newest ocean themed and sea turtle paintings are the most recent limited editions and/or prints which are now readily available for purchase. Please visit the "Ocean" or "Reproduction" pages of this website to preview or to purchase these wonderful conservation prints. The tropical paintings of Gloria Clifford have an unusual flair and it is quite obvious, that this artist truly has a style all her own. Best known for the brilliant colors and tropical subject matter which she depicts in all of her work, Gloria is an artist who is also on a mission to save the creatures of our world. Almost every plant or animal that she paints are on the “Endangered Species List” or are now seriously threatened due to oil spills in the Gulf and in the Caribbean. Her land based subjects include brightly colored flamingos, parrots, toucans and other exotic birds from tropical rain forests of the Americas or the Caribbean Islands. Due to the artist's great love of the ocean, she is most passionate about painting the animals of the sea. Her favorite subjects are of sea turtles, dolphins and many other ocean creatures which live within and around the coral reefs. Gloria is currently devoting the next year to a series of new underwater reef and sea turtle paintings and has also had several of her images, which are newly posted on this website, devoted to sea turtle and Ocean Conservation efforts. If you would like to contact the artist, please go to the contact page of this website or you may phone Gloria directly at: (804)514-7716. To see some of her colorful images in person, please visit the artist in her studio/gallery at Art Works; 5th & Hull Streets, in Richmond, Virginia. Although Gloria is quite well known as "Richmond's Own Caribbean Painter", the artist is currently seeking professional gallery and/or licensing representation outside of the Richmond area.
