THIS POST OFFICE MID ISLAND MELVILLE NEW YORK STOLE MY PRIORITY MAIL! tHEY CLAIM THEY GOT MY OVERNIGHT IN BUT THEIR READ OUT WAS TIME STAMPED PRIOR TO ME EVEN SENDING IT OUT AT THE LOCATION BY MY HOME . SO IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO OF RECEIVED IT. NOW MY PACKAGE IS STOLEN . LAST KNOWN TO BE RECEIVED AT THE MELVILLE FACILITY. IT WAS GIVEN TO THE ISLIP TERRACE POST OFFICE THEN SUPPOSEDLY SENT IN A TRUCK TO MELVILLE FOR SORTING. IT EITHER NEVER MADE IT OR SOMEONE STOLE IT AT MELVILLE . NOT SHOCKED WITH ALL THE STEALING REVIEWS MELVILLE GETS. I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THIS PLANT IS CLOSED DOWN. SOMEONE IS LYING HERE. DISGRACEFUL AND HOW IRRESPONSIBLE OF SUPERVISORS TO LET SUCH THIEVERY HAPPEN . I PAID $23.00 TO HAVE MY MAIL STOLEN AT MELVILLE AND ISLIP TERRACE POST OFFICE GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND . I WILL NEVER USE USUP AGAIN.

Sent certified letter from East Meadow, NY 11554 to Port Washington, NY 11050. This wonderful sort facility sent it to Brooklyn, NY 11256. The PO earns it nick name SNAIL MAIl thru incompetence.

Never ever mail anything important from here. I had a tick tested and the center sent it to the lab through Melville. They LOST the vial. Apparently never followed the instructions from the facility and went through the machine when it was suppose to be handled manually. They opened up the package to inspect and never put back the tick vial in the box. So the lab never received it. The tick center investigated it and it was never foound and no recourse was given by the post office. What a bunch of incompetent people!! Now I will never know if my son was infected with any tick borne diseases and he has now been sick for the past few weeks! I feel so heartbroken that my 1 year old son is going through this!! I blame this post office for my son's health issues now. SO I warn people never use this post office. They don't care about anything!!!!

Package was never scanned in and sat there for days leaving me with tracking information saying that it had left California and that was it. Wasn't until i called USPS customer service that they tracked down my package and discovered that it was there. So because someone could not be bothered to scan and process my package, something that was supposed to be delivered almost a week ago will hopefully be delivered within the next day or two..

Very poor post office. 2-day priority mail item left Cincinnati thursday, arrived at their post office Saturday morning at 7:22am. Mother's day gift. The package which should have been delivered that day, but instead sat for 13 hours in their building before leaving. Now, it will be delivered on Monday. After Mother's Day. 4-day delivery while paying for 2-day Priority delivery. Melville has inept employees and the poorest service I've dealt with in multiple towns and states. Don't waste your money with this office. It should be shut down. They're useless. They don't even deserve 1 star. Avoid if possible.

Not sure if this is the facility that processes packages to other locales but somewhere in the system there is a thief or a machine is eating packages. Within the past 2 weeks the tracking ends at this facility. The USPS is operated like its in a third world country by savages.

The telephone tree is enough to make you want to use any alternative to the post office.
