Island Park Elementary School has more than 60 staff members and has enrollment of more than 500 students. The school serves students in grades kindergarten through five. It hosts the district's English language learners program and has an extended resource room for students with special learning needs. The school offers various other special programs, including a tuition-based foreign language program, student council, after-school clubs and before school choir. Its curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, language arts, music and computers. Island Park Elementary School is a part of the Mercer Island School District.
