Since 1977 Dr. Samuel E. Selcher, DMD has been proudly serving the communities? dental needs. Give us a call today. We'll give you a reason to keep smiling! Dr. Selcher graduated from Middletown Area High school where he participated in wrestling, track and National Honor Society and was fortunate enough to be the PIAA class B State Champion in the discus. He was also an Eagle Boy Scout. He graduated Cum Laude from Millersville State College before attending the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine where he was inducted into OKU, the National Dental Honor Society. After serving two years in the US Navy he set up his practice in 1977. Dr. Selcher was instrumental in establishing the Dental Hygiene School at HACC for which he received an honorary degree and has been the chairman of the advisory Committee since the beginning of the program. Dr. Selcher has been active in organized dentistry since he opened his practice and has served in many offices including President of the Harrisburg Area Dental Society and the Fifth District Dental Society. He has served the Pennsylvania Dental Association in numerous ways, including as Trustee and Treasurer. He also served at the American Dental Association on the Commission on the Young Professional, Council on Dental Practice, ADPAC Board, and as a delegate for many years. He is a Fellow in: The Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Selcher has been active in his community. Some of his involvement includes President of the Middletown School Board, Chairman of the Joint Operating Committee of Dauphin County Vo-Tech, President of the Industrial Development Authority of Central Pennsylvania, and chairman of the Board of his church and a mission's board. Dr. Selcher has been listed among the Harrisburg regions top dentists in Harrisburg Magazine every year since 2008. Today, he and his wife Carol enjoy family time with their two children's families which include 6 grandchildren.

In this age of instant satisfaction and drive through businesses, we have been immensely thankful for the care we receive from Dr. Selcher and his entire staff. I leave each visit thinking "Oh, I have to send them a thank-you note for their amazing kindness" and too often I move on without sending them a well-deserved thank you! Long before we became parents to seven children, Dr. Selcher and his caring and professional staff provided us with excellent dental care. His expertise, kindness and genuine concern for us and for the health of our children have made coming to see him one of the easiest decisions we have made. Knowing the individual personalities of each of our kids, Dr. Selcher is able to provide just the right support to ease fears and make coming to the dentist a pleasure. His hygienists are truly the best-they are experts at what they do and know each of our kids by name- they seem to pick up just where we left off from visit to visit. Truly, we couldn't hope for more in our family dentist. Thank you, Dr. Selcher, for the excellent care you provide! We are so thankful for the relationship we have developed with you over the years.
