I will “NEVER EVER” take my dogs back to “Sit and Stay Dog Kennel”!!! When I made arrangements to have my three dogs boarded at Sit and Stay for three weeks, I was given a quote of $1465.00. I cancelled with the place I normally take them that my dogs loved, I totally trusted, and was $500 cheeper but being they were 3 hours away I decided to pay extra and try “Sit and Stay” - One of my dogs about died and they screwed me out of $$$$!!!Three days before I was to take them to Sit and Stay I called to see if it would be cheeper to board two of my dogs together instead of separate runs but ended up being quoted a price $200 more than the price of the three separate runs because “Lisa” said I was quoted a wrong price when I first booked it but said she would negotiate the price and took $100 off with two of them kenneled together and my German Shepard getting her own run. It was just before Christmas and too late to rebook with the kennel that was further away that I really liked so I wasn’t thrilled but went ahead with those arrangements. After 1 and a half weeks of my dogs staying at “Sit and Stay” I get a call from the owner Lisa telling me that “ for “TWO DAYS “- 1 of my dogs has been throwing up constantly and foaming at the mouth, staggering when she walks, and acting lethargic AND if it was her dog she would have it taken to emergency dog clinic!” I was across the US, out of town, at that moment! The only credit I’m going to give “Sit and Stay” is that they took my dog to someone that could take care of her!
1. Wait 2 days to call me to tell me my dog is extremely sick???
2. Had she (Lisa) not waited 2 days to call me, my dog would have gotten the care she needed, she wouldn’t have almost died and it wouldn’t have been a Friday night that she called me turning it into a weekend emergency vet bill that cost me $3000.00!!!....???
3. This particular dog has special needs that I specifically made sure Lisa was aware of!!!!! My dogs needs aren’t complicated but if she is fed dry dog food she will throw up, eat it, throw up, repeat! Her food only had to be soaked with more water added! If it wasn’t, she would throw up and throw up- I wasn’t there so I don’t know if it was or wasn’t but her symptoms say otherwise!???
4. Then the Emergency Vet gives me his assessment- “your dog is extremely Dehydrated!” My dog Needing an IV, for two days, puts all kinds of concerns about the care my dogs had at “Sit and Stay” and I will never chance that to happen again!!!!
After my dog was on an IV for two days, and got better I decided to leave her there at the Palmetto hospital “boarding” where she had round the clock care- unlike “Sit and Stay” where they leave all the dogs unattended from 6pm till 9am. AND Palmetto Boarding is alot cheeper boarding with staff at all times and emergency care on site if needed.- I wish I would have just boarded all of them there to begin with!!!
Aside from my dog about dying, my other two dogs were very dirty, constantly itching and smelling like pee after I picked them up from “Sit and Stay”. I went straight to the tub with my toy poodle to give her a bath and All of her paws were swollen red and hurt her when I’d touch them! The other biggest upset about “Sit and Stay” is when I went to pick them up and asked “Lisa” to explain the bill she was charging full price of instead of what was originally agreed on of $100 off. She couldn’t remember having to call Lori for quoting me wrong in the beginning or any conversation of our 1 hour making arrangements to board my three dogs, or her agreement of what she said she was going to charge and Quoting her words, “I’m a busy woman, I can’t remem
