First hand knowledge: Spay and neuter clinic is performed here. Due to the lack of space and equipment several cats are spayed/neutered using the same operating utensils and even the same drape as the last ... animals come in the AM they are checked visually for weight and drugged based on that estimated weight. then as one is being operated on the next is being shaved and anesthetized, then they are quickly switched out and the process starts over again. Often no sanitation is done to the table or gloves between either. I am not a disgruntled employee as I have not worked there but I have seen it first hand on more than one occasion.

When I knew I was moving to Myrtle Beach, my first concern after buying a house was to secure a vet, since I had two cats. One was elderly and ill, and I needed a compassionate veterinarian for him since he had to have frequent testing done. They treated him well, and finally told me that he should not be a science project and that they would give him fluids but no more painful blood-work. The other cat was young, but problematic in other ways. When the cats needed to be boarded, it cost less to board both cats there than it had cost per cat where I had previously lived, and they did not charge extra for giving medication or for play time. I appreciate the tender, loving care that my cats received at the Cat's Meow and the reasonable prices.

I was at the end of my rope with my cat Milo's allergies,and was about to have her put down she was suffering so she would scratch herself bloody. Then a friend told me to try Cat's Meow..Well thanks to Kim and her staff Milo is fat and happy,no more itching. Kim is truly a cat whisperer.I love the place and will go nowhere else for cat care.

I realize that this place takes care of animals very well, but when it comes to sensitivity towards humans, they are lacking. My brother died two days ago and had our cat boarded. I am not from here and got lost. I felt harassed on the phone to hurry up and get there even after explaining the situation. I was told "this isn't fair to us" and I was chastised. I realize life isn't fair....if life were fair, I would still have my brother. I did not need to be spoken to that way and my mothers cat will never ever use their services again

The office staff is great. I boarded my cat and they were great with him. Also, my daughter took her C.J. there to be fixed and immunized. They have the most reasonable prices that I found in this area. I highly recommend them to everyone I know. I truly believe that pets need to be cared for and fixed to help control the stray cats in the area.

I have never had a cat before in my life. Little Ms. Sally made her way into my life. She was a stray cat and about 3 months ago I just happened to be at home painting and sure enough she worked herself into my life. I of course being a human, was very stupid when it came to Sally's well being. The Cat's Meow has helped me with every step of the way. Shots, neutering, checkups the works.(Their prices are very competitive if not less then the other clinics) I actually wish that they accepted humans. LOL. The staff is wonderful and thoughtful. I trust them fully with my new little girl. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.

I drive from Charlotte to Myrtle Beach to leave my kittens at the Cat's Meow , somehow I feel relaxed when they stay there while I travel around the country. They take care of all my kittens needs, hair cuts ,grooming, vaccines, de-claw, vet, healthy food, etc ..... I love the place and my kittens love it too, I trust so much the people in that place that my kittens first baby set his permanent residence in the store ( Miss you Blues!) .... Best treatment for Kittens/Cats around town. Friendly service and extremely professional. The prices are moderate and sometimes cheaper than anyone else around. I take my cats here every time they need something without hesitation!

Kim and her staff are very professional and Kind.I have taken many kitty's in for spay and neuter, plus they have grooming, all kind of kitty's products and toy's.The Cat's Meow is very clean and also can board your kitty.I think it is great to have a place that caters strictly to cats and that you can trust.I think you owe it to your feline friend to go in and check it out.Thanks, Kim for having such an great place.
