Established in 1997, Jere Baxter Middle School is operated by Metropolitan Nashville Public School, which serves more than 74,000 students in over 135 schools in Tennessee. It has various school organizations, including Boy Scouts, peer advisors and peer mediators. The school has a guidance and counseling department that provides basic assistance to students regarding scholarships, career planning, and social and mental problems. It also provides medical, lunch and bus transportation services to the students. The school has educational partnerships with Hardaway Construction, TSU Talent Search, Backfield In Motion and Club MCM. Located in Nashville, Tenn., Jere Baxter Middle School has an annual enrollment of approximately 650 students in grades five through eight.
