My dog loves this place. I've taken him other places for boarding and it is obvious he has been afraid. At Flint River the boarding facility is amazing and he plays all day. the prices here might be higher, but it is absolutely worth it in my opinion. Take care of your animals, pay what they deserve.

Excellent veterinary care, excellent service! No veterinary facility can compare in the Huntsville/Madison County area. I would not trust my puppy with anyone other than Dr. Kevin Lowe.

Flint River Animal Hospital is the best vets office I've been to in my 24 years living in Huntsville. Dr. Moore and Dr. Lowe have to be the best, most compassionate vets in town. The prices are reasonable, the facility is beautiful, they have the latest and greatest equipment/treatments. I have dogs, cats, birds, rodents, and horses, and they treat them all like it's their specialty! Dr. Moore works with the mobile equine unit, which comes right to my house. He has such a way with my horses, they've never been so good with another vet. And for the first time in years, giving my pets the best care available doesn't bankrupt me! I highly recomment Flint River Animal Hospital, and it's veterinarians.

When Dr. Lowe listens to me, I know he respects my concerns about my pets, I am relieved and grateful. He has that special touch with my animals and they know they are safe with him. Dr. Lowe always takes time to teach and explain everything I need to know about my pets ... and then asks if I have any more questions and is happy to answer them. Tanya and Joanna (Vet Techs) and the rest of the Flint River Animal Care Team are always so friendly and make me and my pets feel special and comfortable. And ... I always go home with a printout history and explanation of everything about the exam and/or treatment. I recommend Flint River Animal Hospital to everyone who wants the best compassionate care for their animals.

Re Prices: Every procedure that is recommended comes with a full and detailed treatment plan with prices. The fees are discussed before hand and time is taken to answer any questions about the procedure and its fees. We always listen to our client's needs and do our best to form an effective treatment plan within their personal budgets. We encourage our clients to ask questions like "why is this needed?" becuase it presents our staff with the opportunity to educate and hopefully lead to understanding.We encourage checking the fees with other veterinarians in the area for health evaluations, vaccinations, and spay / neuter surgeries. We purposely set our fees that are competitive and consistent with our surrounding colleagues in the area.We do offer SNAP spay and neuter prices as well.Lastly, EVERY visit receives a detailed personalized case report with all exam findings, diagnosis, and treatment plans presented in an easy to understand format.Kevin Lowe, DVM

I've been looking for an animal hospital and a veterinarian like this. This new animal hospital feels like a home, warm and friendly with a pet care team who always seem so happy to have our pets (and me!) come to be cared for . Their emphasis is not about them getting more $$ ... it is about the best care to keep our pets healthy. Dr. Lowe is very knowledgeable and compassionate and spends a lot of time helping me understand the importance of preventive care ... like, I never knew how important dental care is for my dogs and cat and rabbit to all stay healthy. At Flint River Animal Hospital, they really love our animals!! And the hospital is so clean and more technically prepared for all animal health care than my human doctor's office is for people!
