I hope I have the right station, I've taped and watched so many news stories on the fire as I lived in So. CA for 44 years. I'm getting SO irritated to hear the lady in the red sweatshirt, blue and white bandana around her neck and brownish cap keep referring to SANTA CLARITA as Canyon Country!!! When we moved there in 1973 it was Newhall, Saugus, Canyon Country and Valencia. They all incorporated as SANTA CLARITA I believe in 1989. For her to even say that "Santa Clarita, a small part of Canyon Country" is totally erroneous. Except for retaining their original Zip Codes it is technically and legally ALL Santa Clarita. The "old timers" may still refer to the old names but please, get your facts straight, it's part of your job. I get really irritated each time I hear of Canyon Country. Also, what happened to the Agua Dulce (sweet water) and White's Canyon fires? No mention has been made, anywhere, of either since I first heard the names as having fires there. Ann in AZ
