BEWARE THE EVIL WITCH/ES WORK ...

BEWARE THE EVIL WITCH/ES WORK AT MERCY ER.
Mercy ER is the WORST well wait their is Baptist /Integres which is why I went to Mercy in the first place. What does it take to get compassionate people DOING their jobs instead of acting like non compassionate evil imps?
The nurses at Mercy take the cake ! I had a legitimate diagnosis by one of THEIR doctors and it is interoperable and cause major pain in my abdomen when it flares up. I get attacks from the condition and the abdominal pain is beyond a 10 always and this is from a person who has a high pain tolerance. I would think if someone comes in by ambulance shrieking and writhing in pain instead of telling the to shut -up NOT be quiet and then are condescending to you and still saying things like gosh shut up I can't think with all that shrieking. I would think the obvious compassionate thing to do is to try and relive the DIAGNOSED pain not aggravate the person in pain which, is what the nurses do in the ER at Mercy . How they behave is a direct conflict with the Mercy Values. Is it dignified when a patient who needs assistance getting to the toilet calls a nurse, she comes and says ok I'll be right back to help you and never comes back and in the meantime you urinate on yourself because you can't get to the toilet? I did not feel dignified when this happened to me on more than one occasion at this hospital. The nurses had attitudes cause they had to clean it up. In my opinion if I was attended to in a timely manner that would not have happened. They huddle outside the rooms and talk hatefully about patients. You are left unattended for hours at a time and honestly you are LUCKY to see a REAL doctor until the very end. They run unnecessary tests, they do not listen and they are seriously a part of Satan's troops. I thought a Christian hospital would be well Christian. Know that I have been refused treatment because I have no family and then when I say this to them I have been belittled and then told to call a friend. When explained no friends to call they have even questioned me like I am not telling the truth. I called my doctor and said I was ill and going to ER and was told to tell them that the doctors assistance would meet me there and to tell ER this well when I did they ignored me and then when I said it again I was told my doctor did not have an assistance. So they refused to call her office. I have NEVER in my life been treated SO HORRIBLY EVER ! I am a great kind patient and theses men and women that work in the ER are vile to say the least. The Patient Advocate is not any better. I called twice to Lisa (patient advocate) and a CM on my behalf called too about the treatment and service I had received in the ER at Mercy I spoke with her and she said she was transferring me to the ER supervisor needless to say after leaving a message she did not return the call. I could go on abut I will just warn you now BEWARE THE EVIL WITCH/ES WORK AT MERCY ER.

I took my wife to the emergency for a head injury. She told me she had fallen on the ice and hit her head. She said she was sure she had a concussion. When we got to ER, she was examined by a PA. She told the PA she hadn’t been unconscious, but I found out later she had. During the neuro exam, she missed her nose on every attempt to touch it and was having so much trouble following instructions the PA kept laughing. She was intermittently non-responsive, staring glassy eyed through people without focusing and so dizzy she was having trouble standing. I told the PA her reactions were slow and she was not herself. The PA told my wife she had no symptoms of a head injury and that there was no reason to do a CT scan. When he asked her if she was okay with that, she just looked at me with a confused look and didn’t respond. She told me later that while the doctor was moving his mouth, she was hearing a loud buzzing noise.

It is a year and a half later, my wife is still having cognitive problems from the accident and we have had no help, in part because we have no documentation that she even had any symptoms of a concussion after the accident. I am still disgusted and dumbfounded.

Since then we have learned that the place to go for head injuries is OU medical center. A paramedic told us they usually take all head injuries to OU since OU is a level one trauma center and actually has neurosurgeons on call. He said OU is the only hospital which is really equipped to deal with that kind of injury. She should have been seen by a neurosurgeon. I wish I had known that before. That is why I am posting this review. I am hoping this information will be read by someone who will need it in the future. If in doubt, go to the level one trauma center.

Zero stars. Could have killed my daughter. Worst hospital system, clinics, and ER in the city. I don't even know how it's possible for them to be so consistently terrible across the board but it's true, they are. Ask any other ER staff in town what they've heard about Mercy. Don't let all the Bible sayings on the walls fool you. If you want to live, choose any other hospital in the city.

I called ahead and was given a price for a procedure. I agreed and used their facility. Their bill was for about 3x more than the price quoted. That is not an honorable way to do business.

Have no complaints whatsoever ...

Have no complaints whatsoever with the care I received from the Neurologists and those who provided the MRI's and complete neurological workup. Everyone was polite, helpful, and all was done in a very concerned and considerate manner.

I would definitely recommend them to others.

I totally agree that the hospital has no sympathy or regards for HIPPA (privacy). I was seen by a dr. wilson in the ER for pancreatitis (which btw I had surgery the week of - to try n cut down the pain). He gave me nothing but a severe allergic attack to something. Also, he thought it was appropriate to tell everyone in the room my lab results - which is totally a violation of personal privacy. The nurse was just as bad. They sent me home where I ended up being given a epi pen injection so not to die. When calling to find out what he had given me I was greeted with hostility - I'm not one to sue people - just wanted to know what I was allergic to. Never did find out what it was - apparently they need to protect their doctors too (I am really really confused at this point and just will not go back). Go to Mercy if you would like unsympathetic a#@$Yoles that almost kill you. This is my opnion... so not to be sued by them.

Find another hospital! They treated me horrible when I had my last child there. They treated my daughter badly when she had my granddaughter there and I have a couple of friends who say they were treated very horribly there. I don't know what these nurses are thinking or who tells them it's ok to treat patients badly, but it seems to happen a lot at Mercy. I had my first two children at Deacones and they treated me like I was the most special person in the hospital. I had my 3rd child at Mercy. I was having severe abdominal pain because when you have more than one c section they get more and more painful for several reasons. I told the dr that my stomach was hurting really bad and the nurse who was in there at the time said, "well, stop having babies." I was stunned! I couldn't beleive she said that. and she just kept doing what she was doing like it was nothing. That was just one of the many bad things that happened to me in that hospital. I'll never go there again! They treated my daughter like crap too and a friend of mine was there for kidney failure and they treated him like crap. Iv'e heard so many bad things about that hospital. I can't beleive this is being ignored! I despise that place. I think we should all boycott it until they agree to treat patients with dignity and respect.

Please choose another facility...

Please choose another facility to deliver your baby. In short, my daughter and grandson were neglected and not professionally cared for within the first four and a half hours after birth.

"The devil was in the ER" is a...

"The devil was in the ER" is about the only way I could begin to describe our experience in the ER May 3, 2011 at Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City. The doctor on staff was cold, rude, detached, and...in my family's opinion, evil. His communication style was arrogant, condascending, indignant, and even hostile at times. Words do not even begin to describe the decay left at the pit of my stomach when thinking of what this man is able to get away with such as what happened the evening my 19 year old daughter was admitted to the ER for a second time in one day for the return of abdominal pain that was plaguing her due to 13-cm sized ovaries that had been verified on ultrasound just ten hours previous when in the ER the first time that day. But the pain medicine she was released on until she could see her doctor the next morning did not do the job the doctors had thought it would, and her pain returned with a vengeance at 2 am, sending her back to the ER. The doctor on staff for the second visit she returned for was a Dr. Jesse R. Hill, M.D., who treated her as though she may be drug seeking (although he may not say that) but truly had no respect and zero compassion for the state of pain she clearly exhibited and that her two (2) ultrasounds verified. The insanity that surrounded our case is beyond reprehensible or describable, but the short of it is that he allowed her to cry in pain for 50 minutes while using the excuse that "until I can be sure that medicine is not working, I am not going to give her any more"...so my question is "what part of STILL CRYING AND CURLED IN A BALL do you not understand as far as "THE MEDICINE IS NOT WORKING?" I could go on and on as to the details of this situation, but it is something we are considering medical malpractice. To any and all who may be attending this ER or seeing this doctor, I would be curious as to the care you, too, receive by him. This line of work seems to be too people-driven for a personality of his type, and I wish I could turn back time and just have another doctor; that's all, just another doctor, because I know that anyone would have been better than him. I cannot even describe the way this doctor is, his demeanor and his putrid condascending remarks. I hope he will recognize that he needs to be behind the scenes and not in front. I am not a professional and cannot tell anyone what is best for them, but my personal opinion tells me that being an ER physician is a very very poor match to his personality type and I'm so sorry my family and I had to ever, ever meet him.

Great Customer Service

When you call the main number you are greeted and directed to the room you ask for, if you do not know the room number, you go to a nice person that will look it up for you and transfer you. I really liked their WebSite, you can send an E-card to someone in the hospital, just fill it out and they will take it to the room you choose. Very uplifting for a patient that may not get as many visitors if they live away from them.
