I grew up with art all around me. Having a father that is an artist himself kept me learning about forms of art all of my life. I started out in the art and design business by creating faux finishes and murals for clients. I started with children's murals and it grew into creating faux finishes and painted furniture and vases. I had such a passion for it and I wanted to start putting all of the pieces of a room together. I realized that this was just the beginning of working with color and design. While creating with my hands for my clients, I pursued a degree in art and design. After I received my Bachelor's Degree I decided to get into the interior design world. I then became a color consultant working for Eagle Paint and Wallpaper in Englewood NJ. Studying under what I consider the best of the best in the paint color industry, it gave me the foundation to work with color in a unique way. It allowed me to think outside of the box and have a fresh approach on how color works. Now Michelle Winick Design is considered one-stop shopping by my clients. Along with color consulting, I help choose the window treatments, provide furniture, artwork, and anything that will need to be put into a space. Along with the creating the decor of the home I create faux finishes, decorative painting and children's murals and decor.
