Curt F. Setzer founded Setzer Forest Products as an agricultural box plant in 1927. The company produces solid lineal mouldings in domestic and imported pine, solid and finger joint pine mouldings and millwork; cut to length interior and exterior door frames with 20 minute fire ratings available; cut stock; clear veneered exterior frames; interior jambs, stiles and veneer skins. Setzer features more than 15,000 acres of timberland managed by five full-time foresters for sustained growth and yield. Scientic Certifications System, and the FSC of California to be Green certify its forest and manufactured products. This is a program designed to assure sustained timber resources while maintaining the ecological stability of the forest. Setzer operates two plants in Sacramento and Oroville, Calif.
