I've been with Six County for several years. They've definitely gotten better since I first went. They're still pretty slow with getting you in for your scheduled Drs appointment. I've waited up to 3 hours before. I know some who have waited longer. I think it may be due to shortages in Drs? I don't know that's my best guess because the reasoning for the long wait is getting backed up because they're scheduling too many appointments in one day with one Dr. Other than that I'd recommend this place for sure. Especially for the counseling. Some are nuts themselves and don't know what they're doing and some do. You just have to try them out until you find the right one. Thats with any Mental Health Service.

One counselor chewed ice chips while we talked and checked her cell phone every five minutes. Another counselor was great, I switched to one of Six Co. NP. You call the nurse line for a message or med request. It takes at least five business days to reply. I called one afternoon after learning that I had thyroid cancer. I called to ask if I could have something for my nerves just to get me through my surgery. The nurse said that thyroid cancer was "NO big deal" and that she had endometrial cancer and was fine. Finally after five business days, the NP gave me the lowest dose of Valium possible, 5 mg one per day as needed. After taking it a week, it wasn't helping. I called & left a message and waited another four days for a reply. The NP changed it from one 5 mg tab as needed each day to one 5 mg tab per day. I told the nurse that I was already taking one per day. Two weeks later, I had already had my surgery and went through everything without any medication to help my nerves.
