the alterations department at the store is a horrible ruined my dress a week before my wedding the seamstree never introduced herself to me was rude and abrasive when she hemmed my dress

I definitely recommend visiting this store, the staff is friendly, the selection is great and it has options for all tastes and budgets. They carry plenty of designers and quick quality gowns. Definitely a must go store!

There is not enough room here to list all of the wonderful things I have to say about my experience at Maya Couture. I found myself planning my wedding in a few short months and wasn't sure if I would be able to realize my dream in such a short amount of time. Maya Couture was indeed one-stop-shopping for the entire wedding party. Maya herself stepped up and saw to all of my needs. Her expertise,flawless taste and sense for a woman's style were invaluable and contributed to a stress free experience. Despite my anxiety and fear of not finding something in a short amount of time, I was completely set at ease within minutes of my first appointment. Several beautiful gowns were available for me off the rack and Maya and her staff even customized my gown and completed alterations impeccably with plenty of time to spare. I felt like I was her number one priority. The customer service was unsurpassed and despite the challenges of a short timeline my every need was seen to.

DO NOT RENT TUXEDOS FROM HERE! We rented 7 tuxedos from this place. Out of the 7, 4 tuxedos had errors in them and all 7 had the wrong ties. I was the groom and my jacket, vest, shirt and tie were incorrect. Note: I was measured 1 month prior and was the same weight and size when I picked them up. I went in the day before my wedding to pick up my corrected items and the jacket still wasn't right so the lady tried to alter the sleeve. This was still incorrect. I vented my frustration about this and she said she would deiver the new tux to my hotel in the AM. On the way out the door she ran out to me and said sir..i know why everything was wrong..none of you all got fitted here. I knew this was a lie so I looked down and saw she had the wrong order form. O and two of the tuxedos were missing buttons prior to the start of my wedding.

My name is Ashley and my wedding was on September 17. I got my bridal gown, bridesmaids dresses, and tuxedos from Maya Couture. My gown came in earlier than expected, and as a dress that was supposed to come in for my length, it was perfect. All of my girls ordered their bridesmaids dresses from there, with only one being in town. What was great was that we ordered them with enough time to have the girl in town to bring them to my bridal shower. All the dresses fit great and were great quality. We got our tuxedos from there, the chocolate brown ones, and they looked great. We had an outdoor wedding in Richmond, and our bridesmaid that lived in Virginia Beach was able to pick everything up and bring it to Richmond and back. While there were a few fit issues, we were able to fix everything there (minor things that just took a quick needle and thread to fix). My alterations went well- I got them done here even though I live in Richmond. I was able to get appointments on Saturdays in order

Respone to the other review.... most bridesmaid and wedding dresses run smaller than street sizes. I purchased my wedding dress from Maya couture and have made some wonderful friends! Everytime I go in, they treat me like family! I have never had an issue and I have been satisfied everytime I walk out. I look forward to wearing my gorgeous gown in September.

I'm not quite sure how this will turn out.My daughter ordered a bridesmaid dress.They said she needed an 18 when she is a size 12.They charged her an extra $25.00 for the larger size.Now the dress needs to be altered.The seamstress is $80.00 more and she says the dress won't look right because it is fitted & has pleats. Did you know that there is no return policy? I'll let you all know how this turns out .
