I used David Gruber for a full kitchen remodel and I was very dissatisfied with his and his employees work. The attention to detail was poor and David's reliability was questionable at best. He would go for days at a time without showing up to work on my house and my kitchen was completely torn apart...I was washing dishes in the bathtub. Prior to starting the remodel David quoted a price for the work, and throughout the project the price kept changing and we got so far off budget I had to tell him to stop until he could provide me with a new quote because I felt he was working without any regard to my budget. Once he returned to work he was ok, but as the project neared the end (less than a days work) I made the naive mistake of paying him in full for his work even though trim and minor details still needed to be handled....I never saw David again once he had his money. I called David for a month to get him to come back and finish and he always promised to stop by and never did.
