In April, 2009, Another shop claimed I needed to immediately replace my 1990 Acura Legend's AC evaporator (for $500.) I went to Jacob's for a 2nd. opinion. Jacob's charged me $58. for installing freon & dye & instead advised to see how long the cold air lasted. It lasted over a year! Since then I've needed new freon only once a year. $40 a year instead of $500 up front. That's an honest mechanic!

Only now, 6 years later after same car suddenly won't keep it's freon over a week does Jacob's recommend replacing expensive parts. Other work they've done keeping our cars running properly has always been been fairly priced, really needed & done properly. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Never go there!! Don' waste your time.. This is just one more mechanic in the city, they don't know what are they doing, they don't care about customers... It was a good place when the Father used to run it, not anymore.

I would take my car to Jacobs Garage anytime. I was here last winter and had car trouble, I didn't know anyone, someone said take it to Jacobs, they are so fair. How true as they fixed my car and came spring I went back up North. This winter I'm back and I was driving along, all of a sudden my car didn't have power. I manage to get it to Jacobs., as I was very satisfied before. I was so worried, another few hundreds of $$$ but I got a call, your car is fixed and no charge to you, the part that they had put in last year, under warrenty, was defective. If they wanted to they could have charged me and I wouldn't have known. They are so personable and care about their customers. I would give them 5 stars plus. Thank you everyone at Jacob's!!!!!!!!

Lets Stick TOGETHER as a community... Customers have rights!... Jacobs Garage DIDNT stand by their 1 year warranty. My repair done December 18th, 2008...Jacobs Garage RIPPED OFF my insurance company off for $2,971.45

I would not recommend this garage anymore after they overfilled the oil and caused major leaks in the oil pump, oil pan and main rear seal to the tune of $3,000. They wouldn't even consider any compensation so they've lost my business.
