King’s Barbecue was established on December 20, 1946 by brothers John W. King and Clinton King. Located in the historic city of Petersburg, we are one of the oldest family-owned BBQ restaurants in the state of Virginia. Our mission has always been to provide simple, home cooked, quality food everyday in a family-friendly atmosphere. We use the freshest meats that are slow-cooked over oak wood, make homemade items from scratch, and continue to use our family’s perfected sauce recipe to create our unique brand of BBQ. Now in our third generation of ownership, we hope that you will be able to “make our family tradition…your family tradition.
