Located in Phoenix, it owns and operates a fleet of trucks and refrigerated trailers. Its facility has a more than 5 million cubic feet of space, including freezers, coolers and a storage area. The company has direct Union Pacific rail access within Phoenix. Its capabilities include handling chemical products and general commodities. Southwest Storage & Distribution was acquired by Jacobson Companies in 2006. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, Jacobson Companies is a third-party logistics and warehousing provider. It includes a family of subsidiaries that operate a network of packaging and warehousing facilities. Combined, the network includes more than 14 million square feet of operations. Jacobson Companies family of subsidiaries includes Wilpak, The Arthur Wells Group and Southwest Storage & Distribution with locations throughout the Midwest, Great Plains and Southwest.
