The American Motorcyclist Association, headquartered in Pickerington, Ohio, and established in 1924, offers various programs and services to protect and promote the interests of motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide. The association focuses on rights, riding and racing programs through its government relations work. It sanctions on- and off-road riding activities and oversees professional and amateur racing events. It is also home to the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum that honors racers, such as Dick Mann, and presents rotating exhibits to motorcyclists and the general public. The American Motorcyclist Association s sports and pro racing division sanctions programs for individuals of all ages and skill levels from beginners to professionals. It also publishes the American Motorcyclist magazine featuring product reviews, stories on tours, events information and riding tips. The association is affiliated with the Federation Internationale de Motocylisme, the international governing body for motorcycle sports.
