25 Years of Experience Serving the Baltimore, MD Metropolitan Area I am a General Practice Attorney. This is in contrast to those attorneys who focus their practice on a particular area. This is a personal choice. I find it more interesting to work in many areas. The Focus Attorneys can claim to be more of an expert in their area of practice. The difference for the potential client is that sometimes the client does not know what kind of service he/she needs. A Focus Attorney may accept that the client is there for their area of practice. The General Practice Attorney may determine a different course from what the client originally thought. In any particular matter a client could be better off with one or the other. But, there is no downside in seeing a General Practice Attorney first. If in the course of the initial free consultation, I determine some other attorney is better suited to help you, I will tell you.
