Very helpful, great price

I phoned ahead to inquire if this store purchased antique books. I was assured they did. Two young men searched the internet for a similar book while I stood and watched one of them roughly flipping through both of the books I'd taken in. When a book is over a hundred years old you really have to be gentle! This store might offer great prices on current books; however, they should NOT act as if they are familiar with or deal in antiquities. They do NOT; or they don't do it well. One of the books I took in recently sold for $255 on an Ebay auction; Half Price Books offered me $5. I do NOT recommend Half Price Books as a dealer or appraiser in antique books.
