The North Allegheny School District is one of the largest suburban school districts in Allegheny County. The school district operates more than 10 educational facilities and serves over 8,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district offers various sports programs that include basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, swimming, bowling, ice hockey, cheerleading, and track and field. The district s campuses provide academic programs that focus on the development of reading, language arts and math skills in lower grades. Each institution teaches history, geography and science. The schools also provide instruction in computer applications, music, industrial arts, library sciences, and health and physical education in higher grades.
