      We cant believe how much our children love karate, and its because of the instructors at UKO Karate. The instructors care about each and every student, always encouraging them to do and be their best. We know our children will be attending karate class at UKO Karate for years to come. UKO Karate is helping our children build the skills and the confidence to take on karate... and the world. - Deborah and David Irons

      I love UKO! Everyone is friendly and positive, the instruction is most excellent, and the schedule is very accomodating. Classes are offered almost every day of the week, and you can go to as many or as few as you like. I also love all the extras that UKO does for the community...like the Bully Buster classes and the Stranger Danger classes for the kids, or the Women's Self Defense classes, all offered for free! When I go to UKO I feel like I'm learning more than just self-defense. I feel like I'm learning to be a better me...and I like that, a lot.

      Martial Arts Port Orchard at UKO is a full time professional Karate School that has been helping students, and their families, to improve their lives with health, success, and wisdom through the practice of Karate for more than 25 years. We have helped students and families from Port Orchard, Gig Harbor, Silverdale, and the greater Kitsap County area. As a full time school with over 200 students, UKO is able to offer flexible schedules and additional learning opportunities. Classes are held 5 days per week with six or more classes offered per day at its fully owned 3400 sq ft facility. UKO teaches a traditional Okinawan Karate named Shitoryu. This style of Karate is one of the four most popular styles in Japan. The other three are Goju Ryu, Wado Ryu, and Shotokan. All of these styles have broadly influenced each other.
