General Info
One last bit of news to mention. Actually, three bits. Silly's wants to thank everyone who has supported us and voted for us in the both the WMPG Cajun Cook-Off and the Phoenix Readers Poll. The Cook-Off was in February and we tied for first with Bayou Kitchen. This is the second year we participated and the second year we took the prize. Thank you to everyone who came by, tasted, and voted. It's a great community event and we are proud to be a part of it. Cooking up something new and different is always a fun time for us and we love that you enjoy us doing so. It's encouragement for us to try even more new things! As for the Phoenix poll, THANK YOU, Portland ( and everyone who voted ), for showing us so much love. This year we won Best Dessert Place, Best Sandwich, and Best Service/Waitstaff. This is the first time we won best dessert and second year running for the other two categories. It really means so much to us. So thank you, thank you, thank you! We love you and totally vote you Best Customers Ever. We'd also like to congratulate all of the winners but most especially 13th Cookie. Nicholas Stevens, the man behind the cookie, is a former Silly's employee and we are so thrilled at his success. And the last bit is really exciting for us. We were the Editor's Pick in Yankee Magazine's New England Travel Guide! This is a really awesome news. In July Silly's will be 22 years old and it's amazing to think how much the restaurant has grown and changed. Back in the day who would have thought a tiny little shop on the East End would end up in Yankee Magazine? It's humbling and awesome and makes us so happy. But we thank you again, because none of this could have happened with out the love and support of our friends, customers and community. Well, I think that's all for now. We hope you are enjoying the spring and we hope to see you soon!
