Self Enhancement, Incorporated, also known as SEI, offers guidance counseling services for youths. The organization works with schools and community organizations, as well as families. It provides opportunities for personal and academic success. The organization serves more than 2500 young people and their families throughout north and northeastern Portland in Oregon. Self Enhancement, Incorporated administers after-school and academic mentoring and tutoring programs. The organization operates Ready-to-Rent programs and offers parenting classes. Operational since 1981, it also conducts family abuse prevention programs. Self Enhancement, Incorporated owns the Center for Self Enhancement, which covers an area of over 62,000 square feet that features an auditorium, dance studio, computer laboratory, gymnasium and cafeteria.
