Barnhill Contracting Company was founded in 1949 by Robert E. Barnhill Sr. and has become one of the most successful construction firms in the Southeast. From its beginning in Tarboro, N.C., Barnhill Contracting Company has expanded to include offices in Raleigh, Fayetteville, Rocky Mount, Elizabeth City, Kitty Hawk, Wilmington and Shallotte, N.C. The company employs approximately 50 people at its Raleigh office.
