The Rex Cancer Center is a part of the Rex Healthcare and offers a range of medical services for individuals suffering from cancer. It is accredited by the American College of Surgeons. The center has an in-house laboratory that is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and provides a range of screening services. The Rex Cancer Center has a 20-plus-bed oncology and five-plus inpatient hospice units. The hospice unit s staffs include nurses, social workers, nursing assistants, chaplains and volunteers. The center offers radiation therapy, chemotherapy and blood transfusion services. Additionally, it offers individuals and family counseling, valet and support services. The Rex Cancer Center is located in Raleigh, N.C.
