University of California, Riverside, Calif., offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs to students. The university is home to more than 17,000 students, and is located on more than 1,000 acres near Box Springs Mountains in Southern California. Its institutions comprise the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering, the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management, and the Graduate School of Education. The university offers bachelor degree programs in more than 75 majors, over 50 master's degree programs, and nearly 35 doctorate of philosophy programs. The university also offers a variety of sport activities, including soccer, volleyball, cross-country, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, and track and field.
