England Exterminating had been hired by Christy Holmes Century 21 Award Real Estate agent to perform pest inspection, generate inspection report, to conduct repairs and to fumigate the house I was purchasing in Mission Viejo. House had massive termite damages and real estate agent was telling me that fumigation is performed after escrow closes. I did not want to agree to that and told Ms Holmes that I will nto be purchasing the house. In response she send me certificate of completion on the day escrow was to close, when house was still in process of fumigation and tents were placed on the house. That is illegal in California. Also after escrow closed I found out that massive termite damages were not repaired despite that certificate of completion was sent to me by Glean Oaks escrow. I also found out that during fumigation over 100 roof tiles were damaged, I filed complaint with the Structural Pest Control Board against England Exterminating. The state inspector confirmed my complaint and eventually year and half after escrow closed England Exterminating completed repairs that were not done despite that they were listed on certificate of completion issued by England Exterminating. To my surprise I found out that issuing fraudulent certificate of completion is not the reason for loosing licence if contractor (however late) performs repairs. No wonder the contractors are not concerned about issuing fraudulent certificates of completion. There is no penalty for that.
