Tara has served clients in employment law litigation cases; estate planning; forming business associations, including drafting articles and bylaws; and drafting many contracts and non disclosure/non solicitation agreements. Additionally, Tara works with many artists, film-makers and musicians reviewing and negotiating recording and performance contracts; protecting intellectual property rights; and advising them about how to turn their talents into a lucrative business. Tara Macomber has worked in many areas of the entertainment industry such as managing bands and providing tour, promotional and booking services to musicians. Furthermore, Tara formed a non-profit organization to provide cultural education to schools and communities through the medium of the arts, which has a community art center in downtown Berkeley. She currently serves as vice-chair of the board of directors and provides in-house counsel to this organization.
