A+ in my book. The mediator I was working with was very prompt and efficient. The matter was quickly resolved. The mediator took the time out to listen and work out a solution.

A telephone company rep, in err, sold us a phone that could not do what he said it could (work in conjunction with our credit card machine). After spending 3 months trying to get it off our account without a cancellation charge I finally contacted the BBB. The next day we were called and they process for removing the monthly cost and cancellation fee started to happen. We did not recover the 4 months we paid for but the situation was finally resolved with any more trouble. The BBB name carries weight is all I can say. We thank you. Marilyn

I have used BBB two times. Both compaints were taken care of quickly. This was after my trying to get it done on my own, and nothing happening in two months. If you have a problem as a consumer, use this free service. You will get results.

My credit card was charged without my permission by Express Scripts. This occurred in Nov of 2014. BBB of St Louis MO persevered until a full resolution was achieved. My credit card was credited in full in March 2015 thank to the BBB. Kudos to Tamara

The BBB is ok ! they do take the initiative to Help, but they are just a mediator to the consumer against a company to solve your issue . to fix my problem I will probably will have to take it to Small claim Court to Settle it. Company today do not Fear the BBB because they do not carry any Clout or power . its just a logo that Co Pay for to promote their product :good or bad ???

The BBB helped us resolve a complaint against a builder by means of arbitration after the builder failed to honor his written warranty. The builder was unresponsive to the BBB as well as to us and had previously refused mediation. We probably never resolved this issue without the BBB's assistance.

BBB was able to resolve an issue I was having with a business, in which I was unable to get resolution. I could not even obtain a response from the business. BBB was able to contact the business and got me the result I was hoping to achieve. I got a full refund as well as an updated product. I am more than satisfied with the services that the BBB offers. I am very grateful that there is an organization in which consumers can go to in order to fight for our rights. The only downside was that it took several months to resolve, however it was well worth the wait.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau to receive assistance with resolving a year long, back n' fourth communications with Charter Communications over a cable billing issue. The Better Business Bureau reviewed my documentation and contacted Charter. Two weeks later a Charter Communications Supervisor called to inform me that the $159.00 dollar billing charge has been removed from my account. Thank you, BBB.

In the past 2 1/2 years I have used the BBB to resolve two problems. One was with a car dealer, having to do with damage done to my car during service. The other was with a tree service company that cut a tree down in my yard and then failed to pick up all the debris. In both cases they were proactive and genuinely interested in my problem. Both cases were resolved to my satisfaction. I recommend them.

While burying a neighbor's cable a local cable company ignored my property corner stake which I had marked and buried the cable across the corner of my property to the terminal box. I caught them before they filled in the hole and showed them the property stake and they were not nice but they said they would refer it to a supervisor and left but they came back about an hour later and went ahead and buried the cable trespassing on my property and left. I filed a complaint with the BBB and within a day the company contacted me and moved the cable. This is the second time I have used the BBB and it is the way to go. Companies do not like to be reported to them.

The reputation and experience of the BBB has proven to be an effective problem solver for consumers. Legitimate businesses respect the role of the BBB and respond accordingly. Those businesses that don't respond appropriately are identified and fair warning is available to the public. This is a very valuable service-at no cost to the consumer.

The BBB gains attention that the individual customer is not granted. Businesses seem to pay more attention to the customer when the BBB is involved. Be careful with AVIS BUDGET Rent-A-Car!

Nothing but a middle man They were not helpful and not on myside they dont read anything that you send them they only look into the reponse from the buisness and take their side. I have yet to se any results and I had to reslove the matter on my own the BBB is just a middle man for profit do your own investigations because mine was against Missouri Baptit medical Center and they said I did not present insurnace buty somehow they got my poilicy info and never submiited it. Now how did you get my insurance info if I never gave it and BBB could not see that so this is just a wast of time and they need to be closed down because they dont provide resolution to anything and all 5 times something has been sent to them for investigation it was always closed when they got the repsonse back from the business and never even reveiwed my side so no I would not reccommend this to a dog if i had to something needs to be donte do it yourself. I wasnt even going to give them a star they dont desrve

I had an issue with an auto insurance company. Since I have residence in Michigan, I had no-fault auto insurance. I was hit in Florida by a motorhome on 2/2/2014 and I got a police report. The driver of the motorhome received a ticket. My insurance paid for fixing the car except for my deductible. My insurance company said they had sent the necessary paperwork to National General for me to receive a check. National General said they had not received it. This went on until the end of April,2014. I could not get anywhere with either company so I contacted BBB and BBB gave them until 5/6/2014 to resolve the problem. On 5/5/2014 I received a check for the full amount of my deductible. I have used BBB twice before for problems and they solved the problems in a speedy manner.

I have used the BBB in the past, and my most recent experience using them was once again outstanding. After you've exhausted a companies Customer Service and went up the line with not results, after you've used social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc), use the BBB. They have been around for years and years and they are recognized as the best and final stop gap in disputes.

I had a complaint with Vehicle Protection Center, VPC didnt want to listen until the Better Business Bureau Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois stepped in. Complaint resolved. The "Better Business Bureau Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois" are "the best at what they do".

Even if you do not get good customer satisfaction with a company, BBB will work as a laision between you and the company to develop and plan you both can accept. I just got reimbursed for poor work and this would have never happened without BBB.

I recently needed the assistance of the BBB in resolving an issue I was having with an apartment placement company that owed me a refund and was neglecting to pay me after months of unsuccessful attempts by me. The BBB was very helpful and timely in contacting this firm and investigating the problem and following it through to resolution. I was refunded my money and am very happy with the BBB's assistance and follow-up.
