Esse Health is an independent health care organization that employs a staff of more than 75 physicians who practice in over 25 facilities throughout the St. Louis area. Established in 1996, it offers several imaging and testing services that include radiology, ultrasound, CT scan, biopsy and pain management procedures. The organization operates an asthma and allergy relief center, as well as works in association with Purkinje, which is a plan designed to benefit physicians and patients. Esse Health also offers Essence, which is a Medicare Advantage health insurance plan. The organization accepts Aetna, Choice Care, Cigna, First Health, United Healthcare and Great West medical insurance plans.
