THE MEDIATION GROUP is a team of professionals with years of experience in business, law, government and interpersonal relationships. We have formed a consortium to focus our broad range of skills on resolving diverse kinds of conflict resolution through mediation, facilitation and education. Our group includes talented individuals including: Susan Bradshaw, Peggy de Azevedo, Brad Boyce, Alva Escárzaga, Rich Glade, Curtis D. Harris, Becky Hess, Kym W. Hogan, Scott N. Howell, Mark Hurst, Rosi Alfonzo Mangelson, James W. Stewart and Martin Tanner. MEDIATION IS a process in which a neutral third person helps the parties reach a mutually agreeable resolution through identifying issues, developing options, considering alternatives and reaching resolution based upon mutual needs, interests and concerns. Our mediation services include all types of civil litigation with a focus on: Domestic, Real Estate/Construction, Probate / Family Estate, ElderCare/Guardianship, Business /Workplace /Employment, Healthcare Including Medical Malpractice, and Neighborhood/Small Claims. MEDIATION TRAININGS The Mediation Group offers training that meets the requirements for the Utah Court Roster. These Trainings include Basic Mediation, Domestic Mediation, as well as refresher courses. FACILITATION We provide facilitation to assist in resolving group problems in business, government, community and for any group. Our facilitators are: Scott Howell, Susan Bradshaw, James Stewart, Martin Tanner & Mark Hurst. FACILITATION We provide facilitation that goes beyond “feel good” exercises. We solve problems. This requires unique skills developed over many years. Our facilitators must first understand your organization, its goals, dynamics, management and personnel. Our facilitators must then carefully plan every minute of a planned facilitation meeting to optimize likelihood of a successful outcome. During the meeting, our facilitators will move that agenda forward while managing group dynamics and possible aggressive actions of some individuals. Our facilitators, while maintaining control in a meeting, will recognize, capture, organize and memorialize actions and steps into a plan that works for your company. This may be accomplished in a one-time meeting, work-shop or presentation, or a series of presentations. Refined by our years of delivery, and tail-made to your specific situation, we will include training and education on one or more of the following: Leadership Training, Effective Delegation, Effective Communication, How to Deal with Difficult People, Managing conflict in the Workplace,How to Have Difficult Conversations, How to Obtain Effective, Complete Feedback from Employees, Making Meetings Effective, Improving Recruiting Programs to Attract the Talent You Want, How to Retain Your Best People, Effective Revision of Policies and Procedures, Improving Interviewing and Hiring Skills. GOVERNMENT FACILITATION & CONSULTING We offer dispute resolution for state and local governmental agencies and courts. We provide assistance in resolving public policy issues. We consult with governmental entities involved in system planning and design, for ongoing use of ADR processes. Our goal is cost savings through increased efficiency and enhanced quality of public services. We also offer mediation, seminars, training and facilitation for governmental entities in the areas that follow: Group Facilitation: Skilled facilitators from our ADR team can provide your work group with conflict resolution support, including meeting facilitation and problem solving guidance.
