Terrible they ruined my ring that had cracked it came back thin and it was not even smooth anymore !! And it cracked again 3 days later because it was smashed so thin ! They charged me way too much as well ! Also I brought it in a size 6 and it came out a size 5!?? Going to let whoever leases out there space in Heb this place is terrible and rude!

Hi neighbors! Just FYI...I had a terrible experience at the Karat Gold Jewelers (inside the HEB on Bandera). I took my watch there over 2 weeks ago just to have a battery replaced. Because it's a digital watch, I was told that it might take longer, as the "jeweler" had to look at it later. Well, I called four times over the past two weeks and was told that they were still working on it (the last time I called, I didn't get a return call, as promised). So, today, I decided to go by there to find out, in person, what was going on. Either way, I was planning to just take my watch elsewhere. So, the employee starts by telling me that they "had an issue" with my watch and they were "trying everything they could" to resolve it before calling me (she explained that she "didn't want to call me because I would be mad"). She pulls my watch out and it's in multiple pieces--the band is sliced in half?! She never fully explained what actually happened but did try to tell me that the rubber may have been "weak". (This rubber is very thick and I've only worn the watch a handful of times). She even tried to GLUE the band together so there is glue reside on the area! I had her just pay me for what the band was worth. And she had the nerve to think about charging me for the battery. I had to insist that I not be charged for this since it's a watch I will probably never be using again. This is a rare watch that is no longer in production and, so far, I haven't found the watch or the bands online anywhere. Moral of the story is: just think twice about this place for your watch batteries. They charge $16.99, as well, and I know there are less expensive places and, though further out, I'd be willing to travel next time.

My wife took her Omega watch for a replacement battery. They did not put the back on properly and got water in it. When I talked to them about the damage, they said it was already broke, accused my wife, and me of lying to them. I had an Omega rep on the phone to explain the watch was water resistant to 100 meters, as they said it was not. Next they accused me of making up the Omega guy who talked to them. All they done was blame me and said we were lying.

The watch is now with Omega for repair, which is likely to be $450.

Don't trust this outfit to repair. I heard someone else suffered in a similar manner.

I asked the worker if I could speak to the owner, she called him and would not talk to me. Poor, poor place.

My son lost the piece that connected his watch to the wrist band. One day, after shopping at HEB I told him he could ask them how much it would cost to fix it. They repaired it on the spot and didn't even charge my son. If I ever need jewelry repaired, I will definitely go there.
