And true to the family-friendly spirit of Italian eateries, the restaurant was created with both parents and their children in mind. The partners are Dogukan Solmaz and Roberto Sbaraglia, a Roman whose father has owned a restaurant in Rome, Antica, for the past 30 years The two met at hospitality school in Rome in 2005 and have been looking for a place in San Francisco for the past three years.
