As in all accidents, they can be pretty traumatic. In my case, I was involved in an unfortunate accident that, at the time I believe I was going lose two fingers on my left hand. They were in pretty bad shape. I was fortunate to have Dr Chan perform what I now see as a miracle. Face with the prospect prospect of losing part of your hand is depressing. I remember getting the bandage changed for the first time, anticipating the results of the surgery.. It was just before Christmas 2016. Dr. Chan said they look pretty good. They did. I truly felt I had unwrapped the best Christmas present I have ever received (barring the Birth of my Sons).

Dr. Chan helped remove a tumor like cyst/lump on my left parotid gland and I was so happy with the result. I followed Dr. Chan's advise and had the whole parotid gland removed so now I have the peace of mind that it won't turn cancerous in the future.



During the surgery Dr. Chan was friendly and he did his best to comfort me by chatting with me. The surgery was totally painless. The only pain was the psychological pressure before the surgery from myself. I highly recommend Dr. Chan.

I (Joel M.) went to Dr Chan to help a problem with a pre broken finger that happen many many years ago. I did not have pain but was a little tender when carrying things and was more of a cosmetic reason I went to him.



He operated on it and after the surgery the finger has had constant pain that has not gone away (Now 12 months plus later) plus is more swollen then ever. The point being I went there for help and his work made the problem twice as bad right after the surgery and with pain that was never there in the joint of my finger.



He admitted on the phone to making poor judgment on his procedure and stated he would talk to his Insurance company about a refund or other compensation. He then sent me a letter trying to blow me off saying he did everything properly which I am sure is what his Insurance Company told him to do.



He was not very professional after the surgery and did not give me proper post care and advice on how to rap it,,what to use etc. Seemed very uncaring to the whole thing,really and I always felt rushed as well as waiting a long time for any post care.



He sent me to another Doctor saying it was out of his scope as to why it's getting worse and in pain from the work he did and that Doctor stated he would of never proceeded as he did and he would of done a small culture first or other needed testing.



I have had constant pain and suffering. He refused to refund my money but now it's about much more then that. I think if he would of refunded my money this would not be as big of a issue for I can then get further and proper medical treatment but it was like insult to injury, literally when he refused to refund my money yet admitted to poor judgement and procedure.



I would be very careful if you use Eric Chan MD and do your homework before making the same mistake I did.



What makes it worse is that I told him I am a photographer and how Important my hand/finger was in the use of my work. Now my life is effected and career in a negative way and when I work it is in constant pain from the procedure that he did. I did not have this kind of pain and swelling before the surgery. I now must seek further plus corrective surgery from the gained swelling and damage caused by his work.
