Suntrek Silicon Valley located in San Jose, CA specializes in solar power and electric services. Initially focused solely on solar pool heating systems, the company has evolved to include solar hot water systems, solar electricity, and commercial solar electricity. Roy Heine, the founder, designed and patented a system designed to produce maximum solar heat to pools while retaining the ability to be completely customized. He researched all available materials to find the most durable-some of which were used in the space shuttles for their superior performance and durability. As the company grew, demand for other solar options developed. The company began offering solar hot water soon after it started and in the early 2000's Suntrek began offering photovoltaic systems.
