Excellent job of working with the family where most of us were out of town and the spouse was not emotionally able to make the decisions. Gordie Stitt guided the family through the process and was very accomidating to last minute requests.



The family members felt no pressure to purchase specific services or products or how the funeral service would be conducted, instead Gordie Stitt worked to make the difficult time easy as possible on the family and was a great help in making the funeral service meaninful to all the family members.

I recently had the need for services of Gehrig-Stitt Chapel. I found Mr. Gordie Stitt and his assistant McCall to be very professional. He came within minutes of my mother's passing in the middle of the night. He guided me, my father and the rest of family through the steps needed to make everything just right. We were not pressured in any way to purchase more expensive products. He showed us our options and we made the choices. He worked well with Sister Marietta from St. Pat's Catholic Church in coordinating everything there and came to our home so my father who has mobility issues could be present for the decision making process. We opted for a traditional funeral and my mother was beautiful. We could not be more pleased. I think I speak for the entire Lenzen family when I say Mr. Stitt and staff did a great job.

Last July, my mother in law jackie, passed away after a short battle with cancer. We don't live in Sidney, but have had dealings with Gordy and wouldn't go anywhere else. Gordy and his staff were SO good to us and helped in many ways from keeping our kids busy and comforted to taking care of the many things that need to be done in funeral planning. Gordy was very good working with us and explained financial obligations very well and also worked with us to make everyone feel comfortable. We will choose Gehrig-Stitt in the future. Thanks to Gordy and Jan for your comforting words and all of your help!

Margaret's review cannot be valid. This is not the Gordy Stitt we know. His care is genuine and he goes above and beyond what is asked. I also remember Gordy saying that he uses very little makeup and I've never seen what Margaret referred to at his place of business. I guess that's the problem with online comments. Just about anyone could write a review, even a competitor.Keep up the good work Gordy. You and your staff are the best. Thank you for being there for our community.

Words cannot explain how much gratitude we owe to Gordy Stitt for helping us ease the pain of the death of our loving daughter, sister and mother who passed. You made us feel like family and we are so grateful. I would definitely recommend Gordy's services to my friends.....

I took the recommendation of a friend that Gordy Stitt was a good guy and did nice work. The work was nice, though my husband had too much makeup on. And frankly I could see through Gordy's ridiculous facade. He was over the top on friendly to the point it was obviously fake. Well, I know for next time.
