I had a bad experience with Allen's Cycle. I brought my 94 CR500R engine in for trans assembly. I asked mike in service if he could do the work. He said, yes. I got my engine back a month later for the tune of $480.00. I checked to see if it would shirt all five gears, it did.

I put the engine in my bike and fired it up. Ran great no leaks. I took it out for a ride. 1st gear great, 2nd gear great then 3rd all of a sudden instant lock up. Lucky I was not wide open or going fast because the back tire skidded to a stop. I look down and oil is on the ground under the bike. I look closer and the left trans case is broke near the out put shaft. (Primary Sprocket)

I go down to Allen's Cycle and talk with Mike in service about what happen. He would not help me with out more money. He told me it must of been a bad part in the trans and it was not his fault. I got no help not even a discount. BAD BUSINESS ALLEN'S CYCLE!!!!!!!!! SHAME ON YOU GUYS!!!!!!

I buy a new case for $360.00 Bearing kit $106.00 gasket set $60.00, seal kit $34.00 and a manual from Bike Bandit.com to do the repairs my self. I'm a diesel mechanic for 15 years. So I tear down and go step by step with the book. Come to find out Mike in service had left out two important parts in the trans. Bike Bandit part # 725995 104749-7 washer (25mm) and part # 726288 washer (17.2mm) with out these two parts in allows 2nd and 3rd to run at same time which caused a major bind on main shaft and counter shaft causing case to give way.

I learned my lesson the hard way, steer clear of Allen's Cycle. There incompetence cost me a ton of money and down time. I missed the NAHA National Hill Climb because of them. I have told all my riding partners to stay away from Allen's Cycle you should too, take it from me. IT WILL COST YOU!!!!!!!!!

Brought my bike in for new valve stems, the old one where dry rotted and a carb cleaning. We verbally agreed on $300. Took about a week and they called and said its ready to be picked up. Went there first thing i check is my tires and the old valve stems where still in there. So i confronted them and they said i said i wanted valve shims not stems. All of a sudden my bill is 650$. They lost my valve stems i provided and wanted to charge me 40$ for a new set. I told them there putting there valve stems in for free. He argued with me and cussed at me. They finally agree to do it for free. Even though i paid 650 for a valve adjustment they wernt spossed to do. This shop was a nightmare and my bike still ran bad after picking it up. Took it to another shop for a carb cleaning a few days later and the other shop confirmed they did not do the carb cleaning they where full of green gunk. So beware of allens, they may do work you didnt ask for and not do work you request then make you pay. He wanted cash only for i couldnt dispute on my card.

The employees are nice, was told a lot of good things about this shop. I must of experienced the down side of the shop. I picked up my bike after being in there for a month and tried starting it and it wouldn't start. I had less than 3 hours on it since it went in and had to take it in because it was having problems. Took it in and finally got it back a month later. went to pick it up and tried starting it... WOULDNT START!! The mechanic told me I flooded it and I had done the same routine starting it as I always did. so I loaded it up took it home and changed the plug. tried starting it, Didn't Start. and never did. Took it back two weeks later to find out it had been cold ceased so I let them work on it. I get it back two months later and the mechanic was lazy and left multiple bolt out of my plastics. Very Lazy Mechanics and cant even back up there work. The first time I ever took it in I needed a valve adjustment. Sure enough Not even 3 hours later I cold ceased it. when I checked the valves they weren't even close to what they were supposed to be at.. I may Recommend Paying the extra buck for work!!
